My last day at Intel

August 14th, 2000 was my last day at Intel because their rules limit the amount of time you can work as a temporary contractor and they make it virtually impossible to get converted to a real employee when your time runs out. When they kick you out because of the time limit, you have to wait for six months before going back as a contractor! I never wanted to be a contractor, but that seems to be the only way to get in the door at Intel. My opinion of the people who make the hiring rules at Intel isn't very flattering (click here to see them the way I do)! It must be really hard to work in that position...
